From a recent post, I mentioned I applied for two promotions within the company I work for. Both are very good positions that I would be very happy to have, and I felt I did wonderful on the interviews. The first job I applied for was a non-management role, but the position ended up going to another applicant. The manager I interview with for that job followed up with me and was very polite, but basically said I was over-qualified and should seek a management job instead.

The second job I applied for is a management position. I interviewed for it last week with two managers, and I felt I did great on the interview. They must have felt the same, because I was given a second interview this week. Again, I felt I did extremely well. And yet again, they must have agreed because I was given a third and final interview with the VP. Only one other person beside myself made it through the 3rd interview, so now we are waiting to find out which one of us is awarded the position. I’m crossing my fingers. You should too.
