It went very well, and we were able to get rid of almost everything we had available. I have some packing left to do, but not much. The only things left to pack are my PC, projector/screen, and some clothes. Friday I sign the lease!

I’m going to have a garage sale on Saturday and Sunday so that I’m less weighted down when I move the following weekend. I will have miscellaneous PC things, camping and fishing gear, my fish tank and supplies, all my RC airplane stuff ($$), various electronic equipment, video games, some clothes, lots of books, tons of appliances, and anything else I can find that I don’t need to take with me. Come buy my junk at low, low prices!

I put the deposit down on a downtown apartment loft this morning. It’s a 1000 sq.ft., 1 bedroom loft on the forth floor of a renovated warehouse. There are two huge (about 8ft by 10ft) windows that lookout to downtown and 15 foot ceilings, along with concrete walls and floors (with carpet). Although the rent for the 1 bedroom is a lot more than the rent for this house, it doesn’t have a large hole in the roof where rain comes in, and heat and interior lighting come out at night (yes, this house does that). The utilities will be much more predictable, and there’s underground secured parking. Since I won’t have as many utility bills (only electric), it will actually end up costing me less monthly to live there than in my current house. Anyway, I should be moving in in about 2 weeks.
