Archive for August, 2007
I haven’t posted all summer long. Sorry for the delay - and I do have a goal of improving - but I hope this will be a brief post to get me caught up. Work = busy. School = insane. Summer = amazing. July was hectic for work, school, and my personal life, and it has carried over to August. I was dating my ex-girlfriend from high school, Vanessa, for a while during the earlier part of the year. Things weren’t going well, and soon afterwards I started dating Jenny. Jenny has been an amazing girlfriend and I feel very happy that she’s in my life. We’ve done too many things to count since being together, including going to the lake twice, going to KC for 3 days, learned how to throw a ceramic pot in her classroom, had a nice BBQ with friends, watched a few sun rises and many sun sets, had very nice professional-quality photos taken of us, and met with each others’ friends at an immeasurable number of bars and restaurants.

I’m now running around hectically trying to get caught up with school and work while content that my relationship with Jenny is growing. I’m taking Organizational Leadership & Ethics at school, which puts me at about a year away from graduating with my Masters of Science in Leadership. Work has been going well, but busy. I manage a group of about 15 people, along with seven other supervisors. Of our seven teams, my team was ranked first at the 6-month benchmark. I also received an award after my entire team was able to exceed quality expectations - the first such award given within my company’s Wichita base of operations. Anyway, that is a very terrible way of summarizing my summer, but I now seek sleep. Bye for now.
