Hi,
I’m David.

This is my personal blog, mostly for friends and family. I’ve been living in Wichita since high school. I graduated in 1999 and attended Wichita State University, University of Kansas, Cowley County, and Southwestern College. I received my BS in Security Management from SWC, which makes me fully prepared to enter the job market as an entry-level security guard supervisor. I do not wish to have this job, but it was a fun degree nonetheless. I also have several hours of classes at WSU in computer science and math as well as American Sign Language from Cowley County Community College. I’m currently enrolled at SWC to complete my MS in Leadership.
I’ve worked a variety of odd jobs since graduating high school, including the newspaper in Lawrence, Spangles Restaurant, a 6-week stint at Hallmark, instructed labs at WSU, and worked a few years doing construction odd jobs. I’ve been with my current employer for 3 years. I won’t give the name of my employer since my opinions on this blog may not agree with their’s. However, they are a very large and well-respected company in Wichita and in 2006 I was promoted to a leadership position within their ranks.
I’m currently attached to the lovely Jenny and spend a lot of time between school, work, and friends. I’m considering continuing towards a PhD in business once I complete graduate school. That will be seen in time, though. In my little free time, I try to post on this blog or find new ways to create havoc. I listen to a wide array of music, including David Byrne, The Real Tuesday Weld, Aquagen, Ian Pooley, Jem, Daft Punk, Nicola Conte, The Bad Plus, Aesop Rock, Jurassic 5, The Roots, mc chris, Dangerdoom, Count Bass D, Frou Frou (now known as Imogen Heap), and Midival Punditz. My classes require a lot of reading, but I usually have a book on my bedside table. I also enjoy reading other blogs, especially techno- or Kansas-centric. On the 10 warm days in Kansas that have no wind, I can be seen roaming the town on my scooter as I attempt to convince the masses that gas prices warrant such economical transportation.
